Contract Fitter

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Fitter to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Contract Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and installing mechanical components and systems in accordance with blueprints and specifications. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on a variety of projects and has the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and assembly instructions
- Assemble mechanical components such as pipes, valves, pumps, and motors according to specifications
- Install mechanical systems such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Perform maintenance and repair work on existing mechanical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other machinery to complete tasks
- Ensure all work is completed within designated timelines and meets quality standards
- Communicate with team members to ensure project progress is on track
- Adhere to all safety regulations while working on job sites

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fitter or in a similar role
- Experience working with blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of various hand tools and power tools used in fitting work
- Ability to read measuring instruments accurately (rulers, calipers)
- Familiarity with welding techniques is an asset
- Biometric passport or willingness to obtain one is required for travel between job sites in different countries

Salary:
Salary for this position is $1000 per week. This is a contract job with the potential for long-term employment opportunities.
