As the Head Chef at our luxury restaurant in Funchal, Portugal, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations. Your main duties will include creating and developing new menu items, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our guests.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Chef in a high-end restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of Portuguese cuisine and ingredients
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to create innovative and visually appealing dishes
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new menu items that showcase the best of Portuguese cuisine while also catering to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and inventory management
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and maintain high standards of food quality
