Preservation Architect in Los Angeles, USA
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving the historical and cultural integrity of buildings and structures while ensuring their functionality and safety. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and construction teams to develop preservation plans and oversee the restoration process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architectural history, preservation techniques, and building codes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on architectural history and cultural significance of buildings
- Develop preservation plans for historic buildings and structures
- Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to ensure structural integrity of preserved buildings
- Oversee restoration process to ensure compliance with preservation standards
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and cost estimates for preservation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong understanding of architectural history and preservation techniques
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and historic preservation laws
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, engineers, and construction teams
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports, drawings, and cost estimates
Salary: $1800 per month (depending on experience)
Location: Los Angeles (with accommodation provided)
