Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are in need of an experienced Executive Chef with expertise in Indian cuisine to lead our kitchen team at our restaurant in Shan. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations. You will also be responsible for maintaining high quality standards, managing inventory and costs, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that showcase authentic Indian dishes while also catering to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Oversee all food preparation, ensuring consistency and timely service
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain cost efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with management to create new dishes or specials that will attract customers
- Stay updated on current food trends and make necessary adjustments to menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef with expertise in Indian cuisine
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Creativity in menu development while also considering cost efficiency
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills (fluency in English preferred)
This is a contract position with a salary of 1200$ per month. Accommodation can be provided if necessary. We welcome applicants without prior experience but with a passion for Indian cuisine.
