Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at our high-end restaurant in Dickirch. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire pastry department, including creating and developing new dessert menus, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and training and supervising pastry cooks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating beautiful and delicious desserts, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative dessert menus that align with our restaurant's concept
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry cooks to ensure high-quality desserts are consistently produced
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other chefs to ensure timely delivery of desserts for service
- Ensure all food safety standards are met in the pastry department
- Stay current on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new dessert menus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: $900/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Dickirch (preference for Indian applicants)
