Construction Project Manager
As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects in the city of Porto. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising contractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your main duties will include planning and organizing project schedules, monitoring progress and quality of work, managing budgets and resources, and communicating with stakeholders. You must have a strong understanding of construction processes and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. A biometric passport is preferred but not required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of construction projects in Porto
- Oversee contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule
- Monitor progress and quality of work to ensure compliance with specifications
- Manage project budgets and resources effectively
- Communicate with stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, and government officials
- Ensure compliance with construction regulations and safety standards
- Identify potential risks or issues that may impact project timelines or budget
- Develop solutions to address any challenges that arise during construction
- Provide regular reports on project progress to senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in construction project management
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously
- Effective communication skills in both English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings
- Proficient in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
Salary: $1600 (negotiable based on experience)
Working hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Location: Porto (biometric passport preferred)
