Part-Time Executive Chef in Braga, Portugal
We are in search of a skilled and creative Executive Chef to join our team in Braga, Portugal on a part-time basis. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations for our restaurant. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create innovative and delicious menus that cater to different dietary requirements and preferences
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards
- Oversee inventory management, food ordering, and cost control to ensure profitability
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen with high standards of hygiene
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into the menu
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role is preferred but not required
- Passion for creating delicious dishes using fresh ingredients
- Knowledge of different cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work independently as well as lead a team effectively
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with staff and management
- Time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Salary: $1300 per month (based on experience)
Location: Braga, Portugal (own accommodation required)
