Junior Architectural Designer


A fast-growing architectural firm in Svalbard is seeking a talented and driven Junior Architectural Designer to join our team. As a Junior Architectural Designer, you will work closely with the project lead to design and develop plans for various architectural projects. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project lead to develop conceptual designs for new projects
- Prepare detailed drawings, models, and renderings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for design development
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into designs
- Coordinate with contractors and other professionals involved in the construction process
- Ensure that all designs comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- 1+ years of experience in architectural design or drafting
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and construction methods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Experience working on residential or commercial projects in extreme weather conditions
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles
- Fluency in Norwegian or other Scandinavian languages

Salary: 1500$ per month without accommodation
Location: Svalbard (own visa required)
