Preservation Architect
We are hiring a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Roskilde, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys and assessments, creating preservation plans, overseeing restoration projects, and collaborating with other architects and preservation experts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural preservation
- Strong understanding of historical architecture and preservation techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software
- Ability to conduct site surveys and assessments
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Own valid working visa for Denmark
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys to assess the condition of historical buildings and structures
- Creating preservation plans that meet the standards of local building codes and regulations
- Collaborating with other architects, engineers, contractors, and preservation experts to develop restoration strategies
- Overseeing restoration projects to ensure they are carried out according to plan
- Utilizing AutoCAD or similar software to create design proposals
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and preferences for the restoration project
- Conducting research on historical architecture styles and techniques
- Providing expert advice on preserving historical structures
