Waiter/Waitress - English Speaking Contract Job (Hawalli, Kuwait)

A reputable restaurant in Hawalli is seeking a skilled and experienced Waiter/Waitress to join our team. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. This is a contract position, suitable for Canadians looking for work in Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and escort customers to their tables
- Present menus and provide detailed information about dishes and beverages
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner
- Upsell additional items when appropriate
- Check-in with customers to ensure satisfaction with meals and take action to resolve any issues
- Accept payments and make change as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, etc.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers from diverse backgrounds
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine pairings
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month.

Accommodation:
This is a contract job without accommodation provided. The successful candidate must arrange their own housing in Hawalli.
