Contract Fitter - Funchal, Madeira


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Fitter to join our team in Funchal, Madeira. As a Contract Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and installing various mechanical components according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Select appropriate materials and tools for each project
- Assemble mechanical components, such as pipes, valves, and pumps
- Install components using hand tools or welding techniques
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with mechanical systems
- Ensure all work is completed within given timeframes and meets quality standards
- Communicate with project managers to report progress and any potential issues

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and their components
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Proficient in using hand tools, welding equipment, and other relevant tools
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good physical stamina and strength for handling heavy equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Education/Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional vocational training or certification in a relevant field is preferred.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

Location:
This job is located in the beautiful city of Funchal on the island of Madeira. The successful candidate may need to travel occasionally for projects in other locations.

Contract Type:
