Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department in our upscale restaurant located in Odense, Denmark. You will work closely with our executive chef to create and execute high-quality pastries, desserts, and breads that are both visually appealing and delicious. Your creativity and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menu items for pastries, desserts, and breads
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients
- Train and supervise pastry staff members
- Ensure quality control and consistency in all pastry items
- Monitor food costs and maintain budget for the pastry department
- Collaborate with the executive chef on menu development
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the pastry kitchen
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques and recipes for pastries, desserts, and breads
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills
Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of 900$ per month.
Location:
This position is located in Odense, Denmark. Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates.
