Part-Time Carpenter in Svalbard


We are searching for a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team in Svalbard. As a Part-Time Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing various wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in carpentry and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials
- Cut, shape, and smooth materials using hand or power tools
- Install structures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and furniture
- Repair or replace damaged or rotting wood pieces
- Follow all safety procedures when operating tools and equipment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical documents
- Skilled in using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time

Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard. Candidates must have their own accommodation.
