Head Pastry Chef
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Esbjerg, Denmark. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the pastry department, including creating new pastry recipes, training and supervising staff, and ensuring that all pastries are prepared to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry recipes that meet our high standards of taste and presentation
- Train and supervise pastry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure consistency in quality
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus for special events or seasonal promotions
- Monitor food costs and assist with budget planning for the pastry department
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
- Thorough knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients, including experience with chocolate work
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with a focus on presentation, flavor, and consistency
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1500 per month.
