Data Mining Analyst

We are in need of a skilled Data Mining Analyst to join our team in Funchal. As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing large sets of data to identify patterns and trends that will inform business decisions. You will work closely with the data science and business intelligence teams to develop and implement data mining strategies, as well as present findings to key stakeholders.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience with data mining techniques and tools such as SQL, Python, and R
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant data sources for analysis
- Develop and implement data mining strategies based on business goals
- Clean, organize, and preprocess large datasets using SQL or other programming languages
- Apply statistical techniques to analyze data sets and identify patterns/trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, BI analysts, and business stakeholders
- Communicate findings through visualizations, reports, and presentations
- Continuously monitor the performance of models and make recommendations for improvements
