Turner - Metal Machinist


We are hiring a skilled Turner (Metal Machinist) to join our team in Acre, Canada. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various metalworking machinery, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders. You will work with different types of metals to produce precise and high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate metalworking machinery, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect materials to ensure they meet quality standards
- Select appropriate cutting tools and speeds for each job
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished parts
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Troubleshoot issues with production or equipment when needed
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Turner or in a similar role
- Knowledge of metalworking principles, materials, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise work
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery or production process
- Experience with CNC machining is an asset but not required

Compensation:
This is a full-time position with a salary of $1100 per week. We also provide accommodation for our employees if needed.
