Office Manager in Mombasa, Kenya
Our busy office in Mombasa is seeking a highly organized and efficient Office Manager to join our team. As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our office and ensuring the smooth functioning of all administrative tasks. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided for foreign employees.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise administrative staff, including receptionists and clerical workers
- Create and maintain office procedures and systems to ensure efficiency
- Oversee office budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and messages from clients and vendors
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for management
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for senior staff members
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, vacation time, and sick leave
- Implement policies to maintain a safe and productive work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or related role
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in office management or administration
- Fluency in English preferred
