Head Chef for Fine Dining Restaurant in Roskilde, Denmark
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join our team at a fine dining restaurant in Roskilde, Denmark. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu creation, food preparation, and managing the kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality dishes using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and ensure quality and consistency of all dishes
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and delegating tasks
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop new concepts or menu items
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Fluent in English (Danish language skills are a plus)
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Roskilde, Denmark (open to non-Danish candidates with valid work permit)
