Gardener - Green Spaces Maintenance Specialist



As a Gardener - Green Spaces Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of various green spaces in the city of Los Angeles. This includes public parks, gardens, and other outdoor areas. You will use your expertise in gardening and landscaping to ensure that these spaces are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe for public use.

Your main duties will include planting and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees; mowing lawns; watering plants; applying fertilizers and pesticides as needed; pruning and trimming trees and bushes; cleaning up debris; and performing general maintenance tasks such as repairing fences or benches.

You will also be expected to work with various gardening tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, shovels, rakes, and hand pruners. You should be physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements:
- A passion for gardening and a strong knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping preferred
- Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely
- Knowledge of safe handling of fertilizers and pesticides
- Physical stamina to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects or operating machinery
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and the public

Salary:
The starting salary for this position is $1200 per month.

Location:
This job is located in Los Angeles but is open to applicants from all nationalities.
