Preservation Architect
Our architectural firm is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Vianden, Luxembourg. As a Preservation Architect, you will play a vital role in preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the city. Your responsibilities will include conducting site visits, analyzing existing conditions, developing preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architectural history and preservation techniques, as well as excellent design and project management skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with historic buildings or structures preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to ensure successful project execution
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for restoration projects
- Oversee restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and meeting deadlines
- Conduct research on architectural history, materials, and techniques for each project
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and budget
