Network and Systems Administrator
As a Network and Systems Administrator in our dynamic and growing company, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network and computer systems. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Your duties will include troubleshooting network issues, installing new hardware and software, performing updates and backups, and implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and computer hardware. You should also have experience with network security tools and techniques. Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Perform regular backups of data to ensure data integrity
- Install new software applications as needed
- Create user accounts on the network for new employees
- Ensure all systems are up-to-date with necessary patches and updates
- Implement security measures to protect against cyber attacks
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop solutions for complex technical problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Network or Systems Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP)
- Experience with Cisco routers/switches
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Experience with network security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
Location: Os (preference for candidates located in or willing to relocate to Os)
Salary: 1500$ per month
Working hours: Part-time (20 hours per week)
