Hotel Sales Manager - Bungoma, Kenya

The Hotel Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for our hotel in Bungoma, Kenya. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong sales skills and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hotel sales and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. They should also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with clients. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. As the Hotel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to attract new guests and maintain relationships with existing clients. You will also work closely with the marketing team to create promotional packages and offers to increase occupancy rates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with potential clients
- Maintain relationships with existing clients through regular communication and personalized service
- Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional packages and offers
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts to present to senior management
- Train and motivate the sales team to meet targets
- Attend industry events, trade shows, conferences, etc. to promote the hotel

Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel sales or a similar role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Knowledge of market research techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred but not required
