Instrument Technician
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team in Funchal. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of various instruments and control systems used in industrial processes. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure the proper functioning of instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments and control systems
- Conduct regular calibrations to ensure accuracy and reliability of instruments
- Install new instruments and systems as needed
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and document any issues or changes
- Collaborate with engineers to improve processes and troubleshoot complex issues
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with electrical equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and ability to read schematics
- Experience working with various types of instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, etc.
- Proficient in using hand tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Salary: $1100/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Funchal (accommodation provided)
