Job Title: Preservation Architect


A reputable preservation architecture firm in Herning is seeking a dedicated and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a contract basis. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings, structures, and landscapes while adhering to conservation principles and maintaining their historical integrity. Your duties will include conducting site assessments, preparing preservation plans, managing projects, and communicating with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a degree in architecture, specialized knowledge in preservation techniques, and excellent project management skills. This is a contract position with a salary of $1400 per month. All nationalities are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments to determine the condition of historic structures and landscapes
- Prepare preservation plans that adhere to conservation principles and maintain historical integrity
- Develop project proposals, timelines, budgets, and materials lists
- Manage all aspects of preservation projects including design, construction, and documentation
- Work closely with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
- Provide expertise on preservation techniques such as stabilization, restoration, reconstruction, or adaptive reuse
- Conduct research on historical significance and architectural styles of buildings and sites
- Stay updated on current preservation practices and regulations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Specialized knowledge in historic preservation techniques
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or similar role
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to historic preservation
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Ability to travel for site visits as needed
