Preservation Architect

A well-established architectural firm in Herning is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, while ensuring their structural integrity and functionality. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and surveys to assess the condition of historic buildings
- Developing preservation plans and strategies for the restoration and maintenance of historic structures
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the preservation work meets all safety standards
- Providing technical guidance on materials and methods used in restoration projects
- Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Overseeing construction work to ensure it adheres to preservation guidelines and specifications
- Conducting research on historic structures to inform preservation decisions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Extensive knowledge of historic building materials, techniques, and construction methods
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Historic Preservation or Conservation Architecture
- Experience working with government agencies or organizations involved in heritage conservation
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to heritage conservation
- Fluency in Danish or another Scandinavian language
