A commercial architectural firm in Akron is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Architect to join our team. As a Commercial Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of commercial buildings, ensuring they are functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and contractors to develop plans that meet their specific needs and budget requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial architecture and possess excellent project management skills. This is a contract position with the potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for a commercial building project
- Develop detailed plans, blueprints, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ensure that all designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements
- Work closely with engineers to ensure structural integrity and functionality of designs
- Create project timelines and manage resources to ensure timely completion of projects within budget constraints
- Oversee construction process to ensure quality control and adherence to design plans
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial architecture
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
