Concierge Assistant
The Concierge Assistant will work as part of a team to provide exceptional guest service and support to our clients in Funchal. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for customer service, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting with various tasks related to guest requests and inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in process
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, both in person and over the phone
- Provide information on local attractions, restaurants, and events
- Make reservations for guests at restaurants, shows, transportation services, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby area
- Handle guest complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with luggage handling and delivery
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations for guests
- Keep updated records of guest preferences and special requests
- Process payments for various services provided by the hotel
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
