Librarian - Svalbard


As a librarian in Svalbard, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library collection and providing high-quality services to our patrons. Your main duties will include cataloging and organizing materials, assisting patrons with research and reference requests, and creating engaging programming and events for all ages.

We are seeking a highly organized individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. A degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred, as well as previous experience working in a library setting. Knowledge of digital cataloging systems and online research databases is also required.

This role offers a salary of $1400 per month without accommodation, but we are happy to provide visa sponsorship for the right candidate. As this position is located in Svalbard, an autonomous territory of Norway, preference will be given to Norwegian or Nordic candidates.
