Librarian Assistant


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Assistant to join our team in Hawalli. As a Librarian Assistant, you will assist the librarian with various tasks such as cataloging, shelving books, and assisting patrons with finding resources. This position is suitable for Indian nationals who are fluent in English and have a passion for books and libraries. No prior experience is required, but candidates must be willing to learn and adapt quickly. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$. Accommodation will not be provided.

As a Librarian Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the librarian with cataloging and organizing library materials
- Shelving books in their proper locations according to the library's classification system
- Assisting patrons with finding books and other resources
- Checking books in and out using the library's computer system
- Maintaining an organized and tidy library space
- Assisting with library events and programs
- Helping to promote the use of library services to the community

Requirements:

- Indian national currently living in Hawalli or willing to relocate
- Fluent in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with basic computer skills
