Executive Chef - Portuguese Cuisine (Contract)
As an Executive Chef for our restaurant in Lisbon, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of traditional Portuguese dishes. You will lead a team of culinary professionals and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. This is a contract position with visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus featuring authentic Portuguese cuisine
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques
- Monitor food inventory and ensure timely ordering of ingredients
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness and functionality
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Manage budget and control costs while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese cuisine and traditional cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
