Accountant (Malayalee preferred)

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Vilnius. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational company. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. This is a contract position with the opportunity for visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions and recordkeeping
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor and maintain compliance with local tax laws and regulations
- Conduct periodic audits to identify discrepancies or issues
- Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational company
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)
- Excellent knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Fluency in English (Malayalee language skills are preferred)
