Turner - Contract Position in Funchal, Portugal



Our company is currently seeking an experienced Turner to join our team in Funchal, Portugal on a contract basis. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to shape metal parts according to specifications. This is an urgent position, so we are looking for candidates who can start immediately.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machine tools to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
- Use various measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while operating machines

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Turner in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of machine tools operation
- Familiarity with various measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with others effectively

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Funchal, Portugal. Candidates must have their own visa or be eligible for one.

Contract Duration:
This is a contract position with an immediate start date. The duration of the contract will be discussed during the interview process.
