Seasonal Executive Chef in Nizwa, Oman
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Nizwa, Oman. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing and leading the kitchen team, creating innovative menus, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Creativity and passion for creating unique dishes using local ingredients
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience in menu planning, budgeting, and cost control
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards during busy periods
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Develop creative menus that align with our resort's concept and showcase local flavors
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed while staying within budget constraints
- Ensure all food is prepared according to health regulations and maintains quality standards
- Collaborate with other departments such as F&B to create special event menus or promotions
This is a seasonal job with a competitive salary of 1100$ per month. The position includes accommodation at our staff housing facility. Candidates must have a biometric passport and be willing to work without previous experience in Oman. We welcome applicants from all African countries including Kenya.
