Head Chef



We are searching for an experienced and creative Head Chef to join our team at our bustling restaurant in Oslo, Norway. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high-quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a chef with a focus on European cuisine. You must have a strong passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes using fresh, local ingredients. As the Head Chef, you will also be responsible for managing a team of kitchen staff, so excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop menus that showcase the best of European cuisine while considering seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate supply levels while minimizing waste
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with management to control costs and maintain budget requirements
- Monitor food quality to ensure consistency and make adjustments as needed

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a chef with expertise in European cuisine
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with both kitchen staff and management
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards

Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)

City: Oslo, Norway (willingness to relocate preferred)
