Temporary Executive Chef
We are in need of a skilled Executive Chef to join our team on a temporary basis in Alta, Norway. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the culinary industry, with a strong background in creating and executing menus for high-end events and restaurants. As the Temporary Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, from sourcing ingredients to plating dishes. You will also be responsible for managing the kitchen staff and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute menus for high-end events and restaurants
- Source quality ingredients and maintain inventory levels
- Oversee all food preparation, including cooking techniques, portion sizes, and plating
- Train and manage kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with event planners or restaurant managers to ensure seamless execution of menu offerings
- Monitor budget and maintain cost-effective practices
- Adapt to dietary restrictions or special requests from clients or customers
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and menu planning
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with event planners or restaurant managers
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Ability to adapt to dietary restrictions or special requests
- Creativity and innovative approach to menu creation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must have valid work authorization for Alta, Norway
