Concierge Assistant

As a Concierge Assistant, you will assist the head concierge in providing exceptional customer service to guests at our luxury hotel in Svalbard. This role is perfect for students or those without previous experience looking to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide them with information about the hotel and local area
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner
- Make reservations for dining, transportation, and other guest requests
- Assist in coordinating special requests such as floral arrangements or event tickets
- Maintain a neat and organized lobby area, ensuring it is always presentable for guests
- Keep inventory of guest room amenities and restock as needed
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures as needed
- Handle any guest complaints or issues with professionalism and escalate to the head concierge when necessary

Requirements:
- Must be a student or have no prior experience as a concierge
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and events is preferred but not required
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Salary: $1500 per month

Location: Svalbard (accommodations may be provided if needed)
