Executive Chef - Seasonal
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen operations for our seasonal restaurant in Funchal. You will oversee a team of chefs and kitchen staff while creating and executing a menu that showcases seasonal and local ingredients. Your creativity and expertise in culinary techniques will be reflected in the dishes you create.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect the local flavors and ingredients
- Train, supervise, and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure efficient operation of the kitchen, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others to perform at their best
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments
- Creativity in menu development with a focus on using seasonal ingredients
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
