Pastry Chef
A 5-star hotel in Khasab is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and decorating a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats. You will also be required to manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality pastries and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and icing
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen at all times
- Train junior pastry staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new menu items or special event menus
- Adhere to food safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Excellent knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and tools
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes and designs
- Strong attention to detail for precise measurements and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Good communication skills in English
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
