Executive Chef at a Luxury Resort in Os, Norway
We are hiring an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at our luxury resort in the beautiful city of Os, Norway. As our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus that showcase the best of Norwegian cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You will oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and taste.
Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal menus that reflect the local culture and flavors
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency in food preparation
- Monitor food costs and budgeting to maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events and promotions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Norwegian cuisine and ingredients is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Norwegian is a plus
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
