Head Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Remish, Africa)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at a prestigious fine dining restaurant in Remish, Africa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in upscale restaurants and be able to create innovative and high-quality dishes while managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Create and oversee menu development, including sourcing of ingredients and creating unique dishes
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and ensuring high-quality food production
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Manage inventory levels and cost control measures to ensure profitability
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and other financial aspects of the kitchen
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Ensure compliance with all health codes and regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu design
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns related to food quality or service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Creative mindset with ability to develop innovative dishes while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong understanding of food safety principles and regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
Salary: $1600 per month
