Job Title: Library Coordinator
As a Library Coordinator at our prestigious institution, you will play a vital role in managing and coordinating all aspects of our library operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the organization and maintenance of our collection, managing library staff, and collaborating with faculty to support their teaching and research needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the library, including circulation, cataloging, and acquisitions
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for library services
- Monitor budget and make recommendations for collection development and resource allocation
- Train, supervise, and evaluate library staff to ensure quality service delivery
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate library resources into curriculum and support research needs
- Stay current with trends in academic librarianship and implement best practices as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in an academic or research library setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems and technologies, including cataloging standards (MARC) and integrated library systems (ILS)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
