Job Title: Carpenter

A reputable construction company in Mombasa is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. You will also be responsible for reading blueprints, taking measurements, and selecting appropriate materials for each project.

Responsibilities:
- Build and install structures such as frameworks, walls, roofs, and decks using hand and power tools
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements provided by blueprints
- Install structures or fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim or hardware using carpenter's hand or power tools
- Inspect existing structures to determine repairs or maintenance needed
- Follow safety procedures while working on job sites
- Collaborate with other construction workers to complete projects on time

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Good knowledge of woodworking machines and tools
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
