Head Chef - African Cuisine
As the Head Chef for our African cuisine restaurant in Acre, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and culinary operations. We are seeking an experienced chef who is passionate about African cuisine and can bring creative and innovative ideas to our menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design unique menus featuring authentic African dishes
- Train, manage, and lead a team of cooks and other kitchen staff
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and high standards
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control measures
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions related to African cuisine
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant specializing in African cuisine
- Strong knowledge of African culinary traditions, ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create new dishes while also maintaining traditional favorites on the menu
- Experience managing a team of kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Proven track record of maintaining food cost control measures without compromising quality or taste
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with management, staff, and suppliers
Salary: $1600/month (negotiable based on experience)
