Carpenter - Contract Position (Alta, Canada)



Our construction company in Alta, Canada is seeking an experienced Carpenter for a contract position. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in carpentry and be able to work independently without accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and follow instructions to determine materials needed
- Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
- Repair or replace damaged structures or fixtures
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate with team members to ensure project completion within deadline

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- Valid visa sponsorship for non-national candidates
