Librarian for English Speaking Library in Khasab, Oman



We are seeking a qualified Librarian to manage our English-speaking library in Khasab, Oman. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$. The ideal candidate will be an Indian national with excellent English communication skills and a passion for books and literature.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the library
- Maintain and organize library collections
- Assist patrons with locating materials and provide reference services
- Plan and implement library programs and events
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Develop relationships with local schools, community groups, and organizations to promote the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
- Knowledge of library management systems and cataloging methods
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Customer service-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Passion for literature, books, and reading

Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a library setting
- Familiarity with Arabic language or culture
