Indian Restaurant Manager - Malindi, Kenya



We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Indian Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our restaurant in Malindi, Kenya. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant including staff, finances, customer service, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Supervise and manage all restaurant staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure high quality customer service is provided at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Create and maintain budgets, financial reports, and cost control measures
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health codes
- Handle customer complaints or issues effectively and promptly
- Plan and organize special events or promotions to attract new customers
- Work closely with the chef to develop new menu items based on customer feedback and industry trends
- Ensure compliance with all local laws, regulations, safety standards, and company policies

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in an Indian restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and culture is required
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Hindi or Swahili is a plus)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Proven track record of increasing revenue and controlling costs in previous roles
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Proficient in using MS Office applications for creating reports and analyzing data
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends
- Legal authorization to work in Kenya
