Glazier Technician
Our busy glass installation company is seeking a skilled and experienced Glazier Technician to join our team in Os, Norway. As a Glazier Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of glass, including windows, doors, and mirrors. Your main duties will include measuring and cutting glass to fit specific dimensions, removing old or broken glass, and sealing the edges to prevent leaks or drafts. You may also be required to work on scaffolding or ladders at heights, so experience with safety equipment is preferred.
To excel in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience as a Glazier, strong attention to detail, and excellent hand-eye coordination. You must also be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as needed. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions
- Install new glass in windows, doors, or other structures
- Repair or replace broken or damaged glass
- Seal edges of glass panels with putty or rubber strips
- Use tools such as drills, saws, and grinders to shape glass
- Work safely on scaffolding or ladders at heights
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Glazier
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Physically fit with ability to lift heavy objects
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of safety procedures while working at heights
- Excellent communication skills
