Head Chef
Our restaurant in Medina is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our customers. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a Chef, preferably in Mediterranean cuisine. Your creativity and passion for cooking will be valued as you develop new menu items and ensure consistency in taste and presentation. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1500 per month. Preference will be given to Egyptian or Filipino chefs who are fluent in English.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure consistent taste and presentation of dishes by closely monitoring quality control
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency
- Collaborate with management to create daily specials and promotions
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Chef, preferably in Mediterranean cuisine
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Creativity and passion for cooking with the ability to develop new dishes
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic or Tagalog is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
