A prestigious preservation architecture firm in Svalbard, Norway is seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of preservation projects for historic buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research and analysis of historic buildings and structures to determine their historical significance and level of preservation needed
- Developing detailed preservation plans in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Conducting site visits and inspections to assess project progress and identify any potential issues
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and timelines for preservation projects
- Overseeing the restoration process by managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, and ensuring quality control
- Providing expertise on building materials, construction techniques, and historical architectural styles

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Preservation Architect on historic building projects
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal preservation guidelines and regulations
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze historical data and make informed decisions regarding preservation plans
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software programs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with a team and communicate with clients

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $900 USD per week without accommodation. This is an urgent position so we are looking for candidates who are able to start immediately.
