Head Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Svalbard. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create menus that are innovative, fresh, and appealing to our customers.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes served.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards.
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and delegating tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues in a professional manner.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining customer favorites.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred:
- Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month, as well as opportunities for growth within our company.
